I've never heard of them but since this the off topic area, I don't mind being exposed to new things. I never knew much about Lyle Lovett or John Prine or Wilco or Blue Rodeo or any other of acts before someone suggested I check them out...DsilCaribe wrote:I'd be interested in seeing how many people like the DBT vs. hate them vs. never heard themJahfin wrote:Just because he may be the only one you see respond to posts regarding the DBTs doesn't mean he's the only other fan of them here. Good to know there are more than a few of us that are into bands outside of the mainstream. The Drive-By Truckers and the bands you mentioned are only tip of the iceberg as far as that's concerned but some people around here seem to be far too close-minded to accept that. There's way more out there than what commercial radio and music television have to offer. They might do themselves well to look into the definition of "Off Topic" as well. The only thing they prove by their endless whining and bitching is how truly immature and unaccepting they are of things they know nothing about nor do many of them seem interested in exploring what else is out there.Key Lime Lee wrote:I've never heard of them but since this the off topic area, I don't mind being exposed to new things. I do plenty music exploring as you can see from your other posts....... Quite the contrary. Those of you that like to tell others what to do should start your own site or chose not to contribute to threads that don't interest you. There's threads here that don't interest me so I don't post to 'em. It's really not that hard to do.IsleReef wrote:I do plenty music exploring as you can see from your other posts....... And if you think that i don't explore outside of commercial music, you are very wrong my friend, it is just the commercial stuff that i tend to like.Jahfin wrote:Good to know there are more than a few of us that are into bands outside of the mainstream. You're accusing me of being "serious and uptight" when you people are the ones complaining when things don't go your way or because you're intolerant of those with differing viewpoints? Perhaps you should rethink that.DsilCaribe wrote:I do explore outside of commercial music, and I have even heard the DBT . . . . .I JUST DON"T LIKE THEM. Jahfin, are you as serious and uptight in real life as you are on these boards??
Jahfin, are you that guy I saw at the LTC Tour Sunrise show this year with the suit on??
When did "serious and uptight" become interchangible with "complaning" .. .i know tons of laid back people that complain about a lot of things.Jahfin wrote:You're accusing me of being "serious and uptight" when you people are the ones complaining when things don't go your way or because you're intolerant of those with differing viewpoints?
