Let me ask you a question: When athiest have really GREAT SEX with a partner( other than themselves )....... Who do they cry out to ??? plesae don't tell me your own name, I am being realistic here.
That is one of the dumbest questions I have ever heard of. I am afraid that you are not being realist here.
i have never used the word god in amy positive way, even during great sex.
and using the word does not mean i believe in a god,its just a part of the american language

Tell that to the parents and friends of those killed.
Tell that to the parents who fear it happening and losing their child.
Why would I do that? What they believe is up to them.
Even though I am new here, I must say this is getting out of hand. When you were a student in school, did you stand up every morning and say the pledge like we all did? I bet that you did. Are you saying that you don't love this country because you refuse to say "under god" even though I am sure as a kid you said it every school day.
I hear you are a musician, Did you hate of god come from listening to too many Stryper albulms in the 80s?

1. I don't hate God - you can't hate what doesn't exist.
2. What I'm saying is I don't believe anyone should be asked to recognize God when they say the pledge. The two should be separate and the pledge should be the way it was originally intended.

Did you when you were in school - Recite the Pledge every morning with your classmates, or did you just sit down and not do anything at all.
Up until high school, I recited the pledge rote, the way it was taught to me. I was never given the option not to, and followed like an obedient child.
Once I reached high school, I simply refused to say it.

Sounds sensible to me - why should those who don't believe in a god have to say it??

did you think or ever recite it leaving out the "under God" part? I'm not trying to start anything here - just curious is all.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

In high school my issue was the pledge in its entirety... I have not been, and will never be, a fan of compulsory patriotism. To me that's indoctrination.
I was unclear about my feelings of religion at the time... It wasn't until college when I took a couple of Philosophy of Religion classes that I figured out what I did (or didn't) believe.
In retrospect, it became clear how the notion of "God" is given defacto credibility in many ways by the state and, as a result, making other religions and belief systems seem more fringe than they really are. I don't think that's right.
