All of these (except for the
License To Chill stuff) is available on the
Tales From Margaritavision videotape which will hopefully be released on DVD someday. Maybe when that happens he'll update it to include the newer videos he's done since
Margaritavision came out.

Tales From Margaritavision DVD please pay a visit to Parrot Monkey's Buffett Remasters site here:

It is fun walking down that area now that I know the video was shot there!

Great site! Thank you for pointing that out. I wasn't aware of the remasters issue but have long wondered why Jimmy hasn't gotten into the DVD game. Not only with "Live By the Bay" and an expanded "Tales From Margaritavision" being released on DVD but with a new live DVD! LBTB is close to 20 years old! The Coral Reefer Band (with the exception of a few members) has changed drastically since those days! The band sounds better than it ever has NOW because Jimmy has solidified the membership and kept it consistent over the past decade or so. In the '80s he used to have different band members every tour and as a result they weren't nearly as tight as they are now. It's time for a massive Buffett live DVD with the surround sound and tons of special features. I have to hope Jimmy has something like this on the drawing board and that we will all be rewarded with a great release sometime soon. I will write to those addresses on that website and tell them!

I think one of the greatest videos I've seen was one he played on the Air Margaritaville tour in the early '90s. I don't remember a whole lot about it other than it's kind of an Indiana Jones type of deal with Jimmy flying around in his seaplane to the tune of Boat Drinks. I saw like 3 or 4 shows on that tour so I saw the vid more than once and it's killer. I couldn't believe he didn't include it on "Tales from Margaritavision." Anybody else remember this one? It's buried somewhere but I hope Jimmy will make it available to fans one of these days.

I remember that too. If I'm not mistaken it was on the
Outposts Tour when he did the whole DRALs (Disco, Rap and Lip Synching) thing. Following the flim clip during intermission the band emerged from the plane on stage to a glittering disco ball and broke into "Fins". When he does get around to releasing a full length DVD that would sure make a nice hidden bonus feature.

I have to throw support behind Take Another Road. Beside being in my "Top Ten Buffett Songs," the mood of the visuals fit the tune, and the video captured the feeling a lot of us fans get. Stuck in places like, oh, say, Pennsylvania, and we throw in our Buffett CDs and let imagination take over.
As far as the live video, hippy dancing and Buffett in his Key West days put Nautical Wheelers over the top. Was it me, or did Jimmy look like he was having the most fun in that video?

ANy ideas on how to use them? Light pink, blue, peach, black.... I was thinking of breaking them up and doing a mosaic picture frame with a nice Key West picture in it... anyway.... just throwing it out there
I agree with you about the video of Take Another Road being a great video.

If you only want to consider videos that feature the other members of the band, then this one is the winner hands down.

I'm with the "Take Another Road" gang. The first reason I loved it the first time I saw it (slightly less than a hundred years ago

) was that it has an Appaloosa in it. In my then teenage girl world, that was a big deal. I don't watch a lot of videos, but the visuals of that one have just stuck in my head over the years.

I just picked up a copy of "Tales from Margaritavision" a couple of weeks ago at the Orlando Margaritaville, and I love it. One of the main reasons I wanted the tape was to see the video for one of my all time favorite Buffett songs; "Take Another Road". And I wasn't dissapointed. "Take Another Road" is easily my favorite of the Buffett videos. I think it looks the most professional and is certainly the most serious. Also, it stands up well and still looks like it could have been produced today.
Anyway, I've always loved the whole "Off to See the Lizard" CD (I know some may disagree), and it is one of my favorite Buffett albums, so now having the video to "Take Another Road" is awesome. I love this song.

I'm not sure if these count as music videos, but I really enjoy the Mini Matinee DVD and the Tiki Tour Hawaii DVD.

J, you might find the Hawaii Live DVD interesting. Looked like it was a great party. And you get a couple of CD's with it!

Somewhere in time, I chanced across a television concert where many of the fans were actually in the water, some on floats, and I felt like I was there enjoying the scenery and water. By The Bay? Very upbeat and Jimmy appeared to be enjoying himself. Anyone know what the title of that concert might be, please?
Are the concerts in stereo? Popped in a re-released old tv show today that wasn't in stereo and it was sooo flat in mono that I ejected it.
Thanks.
