Overused Work Phrases...

Post by RAGTOP »

Something snapped in me today when someone at work said...

"at the end of the day..." later they went on to say "let's put this to bed".

I almost had to kill him :evil: !

This really shouldn't bother me but for some reason it does... a lot! what work phrases irratate you?

Heard this one today from our Engineering VP after a 2-hour outage killed all of our customer communications;

"We apologize for not letting you know that the maintenance being done this week would be longer than the normal reset maintenance that we do every Friday."
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

If I was a federal employee it, the most common phrase would be. Tomarrow is a holiday.

No, you would have enough time to paste it into word and spell check it. Some of us have to be productive.

Hell who am I kidding I am never productive.

"this will help you prepare for the OGT" :evil: :evil: :evil:

:lol: That is one of the most annoying phrases I know...I fail to see how the Ohio Graduation Test is really worth at least 2 years of worring, espically when it is just a different version of the Profiency test, and we can take it 7 times. :roll:
and Jimmy theres still so much to be done...
