I do believe I can convince hubby to come along. Follow the logic here. He doesn't want to spend the holidays (any of them) with the family (his or mine - quite the socialite  ). So let's go out of town - 8 hours, beach, boat drinks, cabana . . . well, 2 outta 3...

i'd stay where you are, i love nashville!

but in all seriousness, keep your eyes peeled for good deals on 3 or 4 night cruises, we just booked one for an incredible price at the last minute.

Plus if you can book a hotel from the welcome center, it's super cheap- the second time I went, I think we paid $70 for a great hotel in the French Quarter.

I love Nashville, too, and this is a great time of the year to be here, what with Country Christmas and all. It's also a great time to get away. I need sunshine, sand, beaches, cabana boys & lots and lots of beverages with paper umbrellas!

Biloxi to gamble and see Jerry Jeff at the Grand.

Gulf Shores to Lulu's.

New Orleans sounds good too, but save that for the 8th.
