Most unBuffett music you listen to

Post by OceanCityGirl »

What is the most Un-Buffetesque music you listen to. I confess to having a thing for punk type music. I listen to Elvis Costello alot, and The Ramones a bit and currently the new groups like The Strokes, The Liibertines, etc. I also listen to Hip-hop but only the groups that have a bit of reggae flavor.

Honestly, most of the other music I own is VERY non-Buffettesque.

Lots of heavy metal, Pink Floyd & other classic rock.

Hard question I would have to be looking at my cds.....we'll just say....Keller Williams.

On the surface, Nick Cave would appear to be very un-Buffett, but on another level they both have the ability to tell great stories in their music.

This week I am listening to the Rat Pack. Nothing quite like Sinatra, Dean-o and Sammy.
Most of the time when I am not listening to Buffett, it is 80's metal like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, old Metallica, etc. I also LOVE Rush, and most classic rock. I am a big fan of the Velvet Revolver cd. Great hard rock disc.
I've collected a small fortune...

I listen to all types of music from country to hard rock. Probably the most Un-Buffetesque music I've ever listened to from was from Aphrodite's Child espcially a song from their 666 album called Infinity. That was back in 76 and my friends STILL talk about Infinity and we sing it together

Notorius B.I.G. - Ready to Die
Image (1 of 2 hip CDs I own....perfect for playing basketball)

Butch Walker - Left of Self Centered
Image Kick a$$ CD....can't say enough about this guy

Green Day - American Idiot
Image Another Kick a$$ CD...old school Green Day

U2 - How to dismantle and Atomic Bomb
Image I just got this CD over the weekend from a friend who works in radio....the album is great! I wish they would have got rick rubin to produce it instead of lillywhite.

I listen to a lot of un-Buffettlike music, but perhaps the most different is a British Folk-Rock group named Steeleye Span, who do a lot of things like old BRitish folk songs in updated versions--think Pentangle or Fairport COnvention.
