First time to see him, but God willing, it won't be my last. It was a very low-key show. The highlights for me were a retooled New York, New York (wondering if this was done b/c of his wrist), a beautiful trio of Harder Now That It's Over/The Rescue Blues/When he Stars Go Blue. I See Monsters was breathtaking. He closed with amazing versions of Wharf Rat & I Still Miss Someone (maybe the best I've heard).

Yep the very one. If I come across it, I'll let you know.

Ryan has been performing a slow version of New York, New York in concert for a while. I was surprised they had him back at the Ryman after his behavior there the last time (he put out a cigarette on the stage). If you're on either the Ryan or Whiskeytown lists on Yahoo shows usually start appearing just a few days after the performances.

Ah, the infamous Summer of '69 show. Near the end of the show he said something to the effect of closing the show before I or you screw it up. I'm not on either list, but I will be this afternoon. Thanks Jah.
Almost forgot the funniest moment of the night for me. At one point he introduced he and his band as the River Bottom Nightmare Band. Unfortunately, I think I was the only one in house that got the reference.
