I posted this in the travel forum but I feel this forum gets more traffic so if you deem this excessive I apologize.

I am looking to rent a beach house in the North Myrtle Beach area. It appears to be about 10-15 miles of Myrtle Beach. My question is, is there a lot of fun bars for 21-24 year olds to go to in North Myrtle Beach. 10-15 mile cab rides nightly could prove pretty costly. Should I not rent a house in North Myrtle Beach and just look for a condo in Myrtle beach? I would prefer the house but I want to make sure there is some nightlife where I am going. Thanks for the help.

Hey Mexcooker....you'll want to be close to Broadway at the Beach. Its a huge place where most of the best places are. Its not in North Myrtle...most of the places there prob aren't what you'd want. For Broadway, as far as clubs and bars off the top of my head I'd say there are atleast 15. All within short walking distance. Great atmosphere. Thats also where Margaritaville is. I've been to that area many many times, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I have to agree with Caribbn. North Myrtle is more of a resort area. If you want bars, you have to be near the boardwalk.

Family friends have a rental house south of Myrtle. It isn't bad, there are a few bars, but most of the younger happenings are going on in the city.
