Musician Jimmy Buffett was interviewed by Matt Lauder on the Today show this morning and performed "A Salty Piece of Land" and "Christmas In The Caribbean" with the beach band (Ralph MacDonald, Robert Greenidge, Michael Utley, and Mac). "A Salty Piece of Land" is included as a CD with the new book.

Nice blue/white striped shirt and jeans. Matt (or his helpers) sure did their research, good questions. oooooooh.. cool lighting at the beginning of "A Salty Piece of Land"!!!! Robert turned pink! Thought: Jimmy's a heck of a performer....a lot of singers can't sing that early in the morning (or won't). Ahhhh..."Christmas in the Caribbean" *drool* I need warm weather. Jimmy's always great on the Today Show.
Do not resent growing old. Many are denied the privilege.
I agree it was a great interview. Wished it lasted longer. Yeah, loose the "Harry Potter" glasses. My favorite line from "A Salty Piece of Land"
"Survivors are at their best, when terror is at hand," I think that is how it went. Anyway, take that Osama!!!!! Now my butt is at work and I will be at my most productive today.
Looking forward to 12/8 and some Coastal Confessions
I caught and taped the interview and the songs. But I thought I was taping, and wasn't, when he was outside with the fans, collecting the toys (I think that was what he was doing). He looked so good with the overcoat and scarf and the Santa hat! He is one good looking guy! And I like him in those Harry Potter glasses! He is one of the few that can pull it off, IMHO. I was going to go into the city to stand outside, but I thought, "Nah, there'll be too many people, and I'll never get near him, and it's so cold." And there was hardly anybody there! (I mean compared to his summer appearance.) Everybody was close! Oh, well! It was great seeing/hearing him. And I agree - he's always great on Today. I think they really like him, and it shows.

I got there a little after 8:00 this morning and I was in the front row by the metal police barricade. And it wasn't really that cold, it was probably in the 40's by then.
