This is GREAT!
And I'm not much of a KC fan.
So far, I've enjoyed all the songs :D

Thanks KC!

this really is a great album, even if you don't like KC, if you're a parrothead chances are you'll like it. This album is a hell of a lot more "Buffett" than Licence To Chill is . . . . all i gotta say is its an amazing album. Does anyone know if its good 'ole "Robot" playing those pans on this album, or ralph macdonald playing the congas?

My opinion was that LTC was Jimmy's most tropical sounding album in years but it probably is more Buffett/tropical than a Jimmy album.
I don't know if Jimmy's had an entirely tropical album other than maybe DSTC.
I believe that every song on Kenny's is of a tropical/island type nature either lyrically or muscially right?

I'll have to listen to it tonight after work

1) I'd say most of Buffett's 90s stuff was pretty tropical
2) Yes, every song is both lyrically and musically tropical

just out of curiousity, why do you think that LTC is a very tropical album? The only tropical song i can think on it is "Back To The Island" and maybe "Sea of Heartbreak" or "Boats To Build"

When comparing LTC to "Beach House on the Moon" (my least fave) and "Far Side of the World" I feel it's more tropical/fun sounding or more like the Buffett I like although there are some songs from those that I like a lot.
Aside from the songs you mentioned I also felt it was more tropical from Conky Tonkin, to Coastal Confessions ( a masterpiece), LTC, to the bouncy Hey Good Lookin. I like the way he can Buffettize a song like Scarlett Begonias. Dang now I'm gonna have to get the cd out and play it.
