I've been to every "Jimmy" concert at the MGM. We all (PH buddies)decided to sit the last one out...tickets prices,etc. Overwhelmed in sadness I opened the classifieds 3 days before the Oct. 6 concert to find an add for 2 excellent seats. The ticket holder (CA. res.) gave me his life story...he was connected in the music world, personal friends with the Stones,, had a VIP connection at the MGM, etc. The price was acceptable BUT he didn't know EXACTLY where the seats were!! By the time the concert rolled around I think he called me 14 times to reassure me that the seats would be GOOD!!! I didn't know until moments before we went into the concert that the seats were.....3rd Row Center seats!!! The price was very reasonable. Not the$800 - $900 a seat the ticket services would have charged, ( and you know I'm not kidding). The concert was the very best one I've ever been to. Jimmy continually yelled about how much fun he was having. He jumped into the audience (barefoot) and then slid on his belly across the stage!!The ticket holder turned out to be a nice guy--yes he does know the Stones and he'd never been to a Buffett concert! He was kinda blown away. I was really happy that I hung in there with this bizarre ticket purchase. Only at a Buffett concert. Anyone else have a Vegas story?
