What are your plans for 12/8's Evening With Jimmy Buffett?

Post by Tiki Bar »

Will you be in the live audience?
If so, have you thought of some good questions to ask?
Will you be in a theater?
Will you be attempting to tailgate in the lot before hand?
Will you be meeting in a local watering hole for a few preliminary drinks?
What time do you plan to start your festivities?
Will you be in full concert attire, moderately tropical, Buffett t-shirt, or non-Buffetty clothes?
Will you bring your own Junior Mints?
Do you think you will applaud when it starts, and when Jimmy talks?
Do you think you will stand and/or dance and sing along when Jimmy sings?

I'm having a tough time imagining what this will even be like! Please share your thoughts and ideas!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave

I wonder if it will be like when you attend a showing of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"...people bring rice to throw at the wedding scene etc.

Wish I was close enough to a theater to attend :(

Will RM being broadcasting the show??

I'll be in a theater, moderately dressed, probably a Buffett t-shirt, maybe I'll break out the flip-flops if its not too cold, I'll definitely be singing along, with my Junior Mints, and I'll be applauding when appropriate. :D :D :D 8) 8) 8)

I'm wondering if its gonna be sold out or not, because it doesn't seem as if there's been much advertising, other than an e-mail from mailboat, the margaritaville web-site, and buffettnews. I would think it would be, because I'm going to the only one in New Jersey, but I guess I'll find out Wednesday night.

I will be at the St. Louis showing and bringing my girlfriend to her first Buffett event! Hopefully, this will help to explain things a little better to her.

My company is sending me to Seattle from Minnesota this week, so I got online and got a ticket for the Auburn, WA showing...serendipitous, no? Now, I just hope we're done with work in time for me to get to the theatre. I haven't spent a lot of time in Seattle.
Barmaid, play me some Buffett, I'm in the mood to get away.

I'm having a hard time believing that the only theater in MA to do this is all the way out in Marlborough....nothing directly in Boston. I'm hoping to get out there, but unfortunately will have to play it by ear! :o

I'm meeting (not meating) up w/ Saint Somewhere for the show, which is right next to my house! My brother, his wife, his best friend and his wife (both of whom have known me since I was a LITTLE pipsqueak) are meeting me for dinner at 6:00 at a cool Mexican restaurant phirst. Can you say "MARGARITAS?" We plan to get to the theater about 8:00 to pick up tickets. It's sold out, so we want to have halfway decent place in line to get an OK seat.

I don't think there's any parking lot festivities. I can't IMAGINE local authorities being okay about that...they're kind of uptight around here. I may, however, break out the Boat Blender, and be a little sneaky... :wench:

Attire: Moderately tropical. Maybe a turtleneck under my fave tropical shirt.

Activity: Phull Phorce. I will stand, sing, dance, clap, whatever I feel like!
Excitement level: HIGH!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D

I'm flying into Seattle that day and was planning to hit the Auburn theater, and I was hoping to talk my sister into going with me, but my flight won't get in in time for us to make it..........dammit! Oh well - Had I not planned to visit Seattle, I wouldn't have had a place in my area to watch it anyway......you'll have to fill me in...............

Look for the Lakes Area Parrot Heads t-shirt. If it's there, I certainly hope I am. Of course, my wardrobe sometimes has a mind of its own.
