Granted, I haven't been to too terribly many beaches, but my favorite is by far Destin, Florida. White sands and emerald ocean, it's beautiful 8)
What is it all about...? I just don't know, but I can't go back home.

And way too many things I can’t forget
What time does church begin? Tell the priest I’m checking in
I want to cleanse my soul so I can do it again and again and again and again

To date the best all around beach I've been to is Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caico's. It's wide, the sand is blindingly white and the water is crystal clear. It's by no means croweded, the closest people were often 15-25 yards away, but it isn't secluded either. All the main hotels are on the beach so there are usually people walking by.
Indecision may or may not be my problem....

my opinion for a honeymoon is to go to sandals in turks and caicos and do nothing sit at the swim up bar or on the beach where they wait on you hand and foot and you dont have to bring a dollar

i have quite a few since i LIVE for the beach and warm weather.

in the 48 states (since i haven't been to hawaii yet)
Nauset Beach, Orleans,Ma.(southern tip.)
Siesta Beach,Fl.. it's so fine and pure white. made from quartz!! lots of sand dollars there.

us virgins
st. john. hawksnest or any beach on the north side, especially in sept. NOBODY is there. rent a villa in the off season. it's an excellent bargain.

british virgins
jost van dyke and sandy cay. go to foxy's and have some pain killers and then go to soggy dollar bar. actually if you want there is a very small cottage resort there right on the beach and it's a bargain.
sandy cay is a tiny litttle spit of land and the the water is beautiful.

caribbean
st. barts and anguilla have the BEST!
St. Barts, Saline beach for the privacy and st.jean beach for the calm waters.
aquilla. the beach in the west end has sand that is so fine. it feels so soft. softer than siesta key in fl,but not as white. it looks like pancake batter. lots of privacy also. can't go topless there like on st. barts.

turks and cacios
grace bay beach and the bay steps from a villa we rented on the west end. very private. no lie, we were the only ones there for 2 weeks.

going to barbados in january. hope it will be to our liking. if anyone has any suggestions for me, let me know. it's a girl group vaca. no spouses or rug rats...party party party, sun and fun!

good luck on the honeymoon search. if you want more info you can pm me. lots of my friends ask me for beach vacation info.

There isn't a Sandal's in Turks and Caicos. They have them almost everywhere else, but not there. Maybe you're thinking of Beaches Turks and Caicos? It's run by the same company but it's a family oriented resort, lots 'o kiddies...not the best place for honeymooners!

I second Sandy Cay. The only way to get there is by boat, and there's no population on it. It's a great place to spend the day. The sand is deep and the water is clean. We spent several hours embroiled in a crew v. passengers sand volleyball game on Sandy Cay. :D

We will be heading down on June 26th. We're going to go to Disney for the second half of the honeymoon, and we're comming from Knoxville, so I'm looking for somewhere in reasonable driving distance.

Well my most recent experience (last month) was Black Rock Ka‘anapali Beach in Maui. Negril Jamaica was the best but I haven't been there in 30 years. And again my favorite East Coast beach (again 30 years ago) was Edisto Island, SC. In the summer time NJ has some good ones too. :D :D
Good luck in your search for finding a good beach!!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8)

I love Destin, but that's a long way from Disney (over 7 hours). I was looking for something a little closer, hopefully under 3 hours drive.

oh jeez, this question is soo hard . .. . .

it could very well be 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman . . .it can be very crowded sometimes but you can always find certain intimate spots

but overall, im gonna have to say trunk bay on Saint John. Theres so many good beaches though

I'd have to say that the best beach I've ever been to was at Cozumel, Mexico. Its an island off of Cancun that is absolutely beautiful. Its not as crazy as Cancun but has a downtown area that has everything you could want. The water is crystal clear and the island is known for its snorkeling. Its an A+.
