Pads gave Sox Jay Payton (another CF almost equal straight up to Roberts), INF Ramon Vasquez, and about 3M cash.
Roberts grew up in SD's North county, so we're totally gambling on the "homegrown son does good" theory. We'll have to see...

Actually they traded then signed Dave Roberts. As much as I despise the Yankees ( and I can't stress despise enough) George is playing by the rules that MLB set up . Can't really blame him.
