This from www.grammys.com:

Nods for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals go to Jimmy Buffett, Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith & George Strait for "Hey Good Lookin"; Norah Jones & Dolly Parton for "Creepin' In"; Loretta Lynn & Jack White for "Portland Oregon"; Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard & Toby Keith for "Pancho & Lefty"; and Shania Twain with Alison Krauss & Union Station for "Coat Of Many Colors."

Good luck to JB in 2005 for some more recognition!!!!

I would say that Loretta Lynn and Jack White will win this one.

I've got to agree with that one, or maybe James Taylor and Allison Krauss

Of course, if this year's Grammy awards show is anything like last year's show, it'll be a festival of rap and alternative music and nothing else.

By the way, is it just me or does anyone else feel like the label "alternative" music is not a flattering characterization of music? You see, the word "alternative" means (to me) that you have to select something that wouldn't ordinarily be your first choice. So, if you are listening to "alternative" music, you've been relegated to listening to someone else's first choice instead of your own musical preference.

Jimmy is, by no means, "alternative" to me.

I think it depends on what you consider to be alternative?

And I do not know exactly what is alternative. All I know is that it has its own music category at the Grammys.

Some people consider U2 and REM alternative.
Some consider Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash. Loreretta Lynn, and Merle Haggard alternative.
Some others consider John Prine, Todd Snider, Robert Earl Keen, and Guy Clark alternative.
It's too much for me to figure out. I don't like all the labels.
Usually what's considered to be "popular" would not be my first choice.

It seems that "Rock" has been replaces with "Alternative"
