Somehow I doubt she would have fit the criteria for this contest.

I sense sarcasm in your post, but don't understand it... If I've gotta see people die, they might as well be famous right?!?! More fun that way! :P

They always say that deaths come in pairs and we have had 2 sports related deaths, Johnny Oates and Reggie White I would guess that another sports figure will go soon.

she was a pretty well known author. I think she would have fit the criteria-she was pretty famous, and the news of her death has been covered on all the news programs today.

We have got a new stiff - Hank Garland. Who is Hank Garland you ask? He played guitar on some of Elvis's songs. The money is still out there. We have 2 sports deaths and 2 semi-known entertainers who's next?

I just read that her former bodyguard has filed a lawsuit against her because she forced him to have sex with her to keep his job. My question is... is being Liza Minelli's bodyguard that great of a job that you actually submit to her demand for sex? :x :x :x

A major 20th century politcal figure that is a communist dictator. (I hope)

But that would start a new death trifecta. I am leaning towards a former game show host and current morning talk show host. :D

We have a passing that completes the entertainers trifecta - Jerry Orbach from Law & Order died this morning. Sail on Jerry! The pot is still up for grabs.

Damn, I didn't hear that. Law & Order is my favorite non-animated show, and Lenny Briscoe was definitely the strongest character. Was he sick? That may explain his recent departure from the show. Sail on Jerry...

I heard that too (though it hasn't yet made the CNN website)-very sad. It had been reported that he was doing well, and he was supposed to go to the new Law & Order show.

By the way, in addition to his TV work, he had a long career on stage, including numerous musicals, and was in the original cast of the Fantastiks.
