I use the word hippie with a little more broad of scope. I hate to ruin a title like liberal that used to carry a positive connotation by describing people of certain current ideological views.
you mean trust fund wannabe hippies from CT who are out to save the world from whatever the cause of the week is so they dont have to get real jobs?

What about trust fund wannabe frat boys and soroity girls who live on daddys dime?
they dont have a cause of the week that interferes with my life.trying to find enough beer for the nights party is their only concern
a**hole..........THAT FELT GOOD....BEEN AWHILE

You have a name for every group .
Did a group of bully liberals use to take your lunch money?
No, but they bully my paycheck. I get sick and tired of my 50+ hours a week in the office paying for folks like you who are too lazy to work.
Excuse me. I've worked for my country for the past 20 years. Well over 50 hours a week. I serve to protect loud mouth cowards like you. We know you've never served.
You're a military man?

To answer your question. No I did not serve. I went and played ball in college. I did try to sign up Sept 12th 2001. But I found out there is a maximum age requirement which I had passed.

I thought part of being in the military was to ensure everyone the right to live freely - even if that means someone may choose to not be in the military. Why is it so many vets look down their noses at people who didn't serve? By their doing that dosn't it sorta contradict the purpose in serving? there are several valid reasons to not serve - maybe someone just isn't physically able, or for religous beliefs or maybe they want to get a good education for their future.

Stop trying to make sense - this is America damn it!

It's freedom for everyone (who agrees with the majority).

I have no problem with the patriotic wave sweeping country music but Chely's song is terrible/generic sounding.

Terry Clark's new one "What the world needs is a drink" sounds like a rip-off of Hank Jr's "Why can't we all get a longneck"

haven't heard her new one yet, but will be really disappointed if what you say is what I hear (and at first glance, from your post, that does appear to be the case..... :-? )

It's not so much as musically, but with the message and from what I remember she says something like "There's always trouble in the middle east", the same thing Hank said on his song earlier this year.

answered your own question there, maybe some vets are like that for that reason in bold. I served then got a good education but serving the country came 1st for me
