Haven't been in this thread in days, so I never saw this.PHBeerman wrote:Yeah you are non-partisan that is for sure.CaptainP wrote: Then you have been blinded by your political beliefs. Me, I'm a non-partisan observer of politics, and I believe the biggest flaw with our system of government is the party system. It's divisive, and your point of view shows a good example of it...
It goes like this:
"I see something I don't like. Political party A is in office. I'm with Political party B. It's Party A's fault."
AND
"I see something I don't like. Political party B is in office. I'm with Political party B. It's Party A's fault, because of policies that were passed when Party A used to be in office!"
I'm not cutting you personally, PHB. Just the blind Party Politic point of view that way too many people in this country have. Michael Moore is the #1 example of this in today's society. When he comes out with a statement saying, "51% of the voters in the US were uninformed at the last election", he's casting a blind eye to any point of view that doesn't agree with his own.![]()

As long as non-partisan means left of Lee.
Anyone who knows me knows that my only political stance is that Political Parties should be banished. Vote for a man, not for a party. Look at an issue, not at what your party believes. We can't get anything achieved in this or any country when any issue is made black-and-white (left-or-right), when there is middle ground that will never be reached.
It's why I HATE politics.
I'm not saying I support Ralph Nadar or anything like that. I'd just rather be able to vote for a man, not a group.

Oh, and Beerman....
For the record, in the last 5 presidential elections (since I've been old enough to vote), I've gone Republican 2x, Democrat 2x, and Independant 1x (Perot, what can I say, I was young!). In Wisconsin's elections for Governer, I've gone Republican 4x, Democrat 1x. For Senate, I've voted for the Democrat every time. House of Reps, couldn't break it down, because it's split, and that's a lot of years to remember.
I'm non partisan.

I thought your stance was that any political party that does not bless the marriage between you and Shane should be abolished.CaptainP wrote: Haven't been in this thread in days, so I never saw this.

Someone mentioned how much the Japanese Goverment has pledged to the victims...Yet the media has not mentioned one word about Japanese whaling or the Japanese killing tens of thousands of dolphins every year...
there are videos/mpgs of the killing to the water runs red and the butchery that takes place as recently as November 2004.
This is in violation of internaztional rules of marine manmal protection that are in place. I take it that those in the media, that think America and Americans are not doing enough, have no problem with, or are ignorant of, or overlook the killing of marine manmals by a country that gives so much. Yet they ignore the contributions and efforts and sacrifices of the U.S. military...Do they care that the U.S. troops are so far away from home ? Do they care that U.S. sailors are on short water rations?
Yet we as Americans are not giving or sacrificing enough? Our military Men and Women and aircraft and ships and helicopters are giving so much and delivering supplies and medical and other aid, in areas unreachable by road.....anyone of the accusers stop and think about that or that Our Troops are aiding in the taking care of the dead ?
