BN Book Club
I think we've discussed this before, but it never got off the ground, so to speak.
Anyone interested in picking a book and then discussing it? Like one or two a month or something like that?
They have a book club here in the woods, but it meets days.

Back in the day, I'd have loved to do that. These days, I get to read almost "nada." I steal about twenty minutes a day while I'm eating lunch. Takes phorever to phinish a book that way! I'm DYING to read SPOL (my brother gave it to me for Xmas) but I HAVE to phinish the one I'm into now..... GRRRR...
In short, I can't participate myself, but I'm all for it other people want to.
If not many people are interested, mayhaps it could be done simply via emails instead of the discussion board? Just a thought.

Doesn't matter much to me WHAT we read. I'm open to new genres. Someone could pick a book, we could all read it and then discuss it. Maybe just once a month, so those that don't have much time could participate.
Our library's really good about getting "little, unknown" books for me and they end up being quite popular after they're reviewed, etc.
I think it would be phun.

I'll propose one.
BRIDGE OF BIRDS.
It's my all time favorite book on the planet. Found it in 1984. Have read it at least once a year ever since and have given away more copies than I care to count. Check out the reviews on amazon.com. And, forget the categorization. I don't read fantasy, but the book is classified that way.
Or we could start with ASPOL, being how many of us have recently read/are reading it.
Just a couple of suggestions.
