What live show should every Parrothead have?
Long time Parrothead here and my first time to post on this board. I am currently trying to start a Jimmy collection and would love to hear your opinions of what are some of the better shows, classic shows, etc, that i should look for out there in cyberland. I dont really follow Jimmy like some of you so I dont know which shows are considered to be the better ones. I do know that Capt. Morgan has a FTP site to get shows and i was wondering if there is anywere else i could go? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I really like this show below. Sound was great and so was the set list.

I know this isn't quite what you're looking for, but the best shows (to me) are the ones I go to. They have the most "sentimental" value. Also, keep an ear out on RadioMargaritaville. They'll broadcast "non-traditional" concerts like at Jazzfest, or Jimmy playing solo for charity benefits. Those are usually VERY good.

It depends on your preference in Buffett music. There are some shows out there from the 70s and 80s, the sound might not be great, but the set lists are fantastic (IMHO). You can also get a lot of the more recent tours via Radio Margaritaville. Better sound, but very similar setlists. Finally, there are the unique shows...the Long Island Montesori School benefit shows, Peete's birthday, etc. They are accoustic and have some real gems thrown in there.
One you might want to be on the lookout for is the Nov. 2001 NYC benefit show from MSG. It turned into a 9/11 benefit show and the energy there was unbelievable.
I hope that helps.
