(((((((CU)))))))
I'm sorry to hear this news.
And if she does meet her great-grandson, she'll know. She just will.
Gentle hugs and much prayer and phin power to you and your family.

I'm convinced that the birth of my daugther is why she is alive today!
Hang in there CU!

She will. My wife's grandmother is 96 and has had about 50 little strokes. She is not all there mentally but she remembers my boys.CUparrot wrote:Thanks, everyone.
Later yesterday we found out from the doctors that the stroke was worse than they initially thought. While it didn't physically paralyze her or anything like that, mentally she'll never be the same again. She's just in a very confused state right now and probably won't come out of it.![]()
I hope she's around long enough to see the baby in March, but if she is, she may not even realize he's her great-grandson.

Well, I have an unfortunate update. My grandmother died this morning.
It's for the best.....she was having way more complications from the stroke than they originally predicted. She had lost the ability to swallow and was going to be put on a feeding tube. She was in a lot of pain and not very coherent. So she's in a better place now, and that is a relief for our family.
But please send continued phin power our way--especially for my dad, as it was his mother. I'm heading down tomorrow morning to be with the family for a few days, so I won't be posting here for a little while. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Oh, CU, I'm so sorry to hear this news....
It sounds like she's definitely in a better place, but that doesn't take away the sadness for all of you.
Your whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. Gentle hugs.

Yes. It probably was for her. Doesn't make things any easier for you and your family. Especially your father.CUparrot wrote: It's for the best.....she was having way more complications from the stroke than they originally predicted.
