I agree. To sum up where some people's heads are at I heard a soundbite from Katie Couric earlier this morning on the news. Seems she simply could not fathom this news when she first heard it over the weekend and, apologizing for the current tsunami situation, she phoned the New York Times to confirm the story. I'm not exactly sure if I could pinpoint when it happened but the line between real news and entertainment news became blurred beyond repair somewhere along the way.
