2005 not starting off to be a good year

As many of you may have seen, I posted last week that my grandmother passed away.
Well, last night we got a call from my father-in-law. It seems that my husband's grandmother--who has colon cancer--will probably not make it through the week. So it looks like we will have another funeral to go to soon.
We knew she probably would die within the year, but to have it come so soon after my own grandmother's passing....it's like a one-two punch for us.
This is not starting off to be a great year for our family.

That happened to my family back in 1995. My moms sisters husband died, when we got back from the funeral, not more then an hour later, we had a call from the hospital that my great grandmother had passed away

With every passing, comes a rebirth... I know that this may not not help but after the fog clears, 2005 will be filled with
happiness and joy. Phin power to you my PHriend.
*Best wishes CUparrot.

Phin power to you from Atlanta. I had a year like that once. Lost my Grandfather in January, then my father died in early March followed by my Grandmother in late March, then my other Grandmother in June. I'll never forget that year.
Best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks everyone for your phin power and thoughts. No word yet about my husband's grandmother, so I guess she's still hanging in there.

Just wanted to post an update--we got the call that my husband's grandmother passed away last night, so we'll have our second funeral in as many weeks this weekend. She was in a lot of pain from the cancer, so it was for the best.
After this, it's got the get better, right? I don't want to go to any more funerals this year.
