Well it seems that I need to use a free vacation we won and we have to stay in St. Pete, SO.....I really wasn't waiting to see the tour dates come out (wink,wink), but now that there is a show scheduled I think we will be there!
Spent the morning lineing up the details. Hotel fine, airfare questionable for now.

Already got the hotel booked (I actually booked it before the show was "official"...just in case!), now just have to work on getting some great seats!!!

Allright, we're in.
Hotel/airfare/rental car....done. Now, short of scoring tickets which we WILL handle, can anybody help me with logistics of Tampa?
How far away is Ford Amphitheater from St. Pete?
Places to pre-game/post game? Besides the parking lot.
I will start researching on my own, but any "local" knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be there (I'm shooting for all three shows myself). Anyone know the scoop on tailgating at this place? Interesting that this is the only outdoor venue that he's playing in FL this time.

nope... brand new ampitheater... just opened mid summer... but it doesnt matter if it's an ampitheater w/a parking lot... and the venue doesnt allow tailgating... then JB pays for a special permit from the city/county in order to allow everyone to do it.... at least thats what he does in Chicago and Alpine
