Alrighty.... sorry for the absence.... and I'm on someone elses computer at this time.... as far as I know... I have a ticket (Thanks Dudes... A & D)
As far as the tailgating "rumors" ... NEVER FEAR ye of little faith... every venue states that... and with ALL the venues I've ever been drankin' in... Jimmy paid special "permit fees" from the local city governments in order to allow us parrotheads to do our thing... in fact it's my understanding (with the exception of the baseball stadiums) that if we're not allowed to tailgate... then Jimmy No Play!!! And the venue loses out on one of their few annual sell-out performances....

Just got my tickets (airplane) this am for Tampa. On my way again!!
Still looking for one tix for the show if anyone has one. Does anyone know about how far it is from airport to the concert?? Looks like from viewing previous threads that the "bayview (?)" hotel is the place to stay. Anyplace else close by thats "reasonable"? Thanks for helping out a northern parrothead!!

Hey - The airport is about 20 minutes from the venue (275 North to I4) not too hard......
Heard from Cuervo sat - he was at Gasparilla - it's been real busy at his job so he hasn't been able to get online - but it sounds like he is going to Tampa show - and he will try to come to our party Friday night.....

got my airline ticket to tampa,actually flying into orlando and flying out of tampa.got to book a room for tampa.may stay in orlando friday night.also i have such a late flight out on sunday.does anyone know if there are any golf courses near ford?i'm going to try and book saturday @ baymont inns.now for the hard part 1 ticket.i had one bought a in the 100 sections.the guy sold it saturday.

Well I guess someone named glassjoe seen this thread and the questions we were having about tailgating. This is the PM he sent me:
"i contacted the ampitheatre and they told me that they were working on something, they were thinking of opening a seperate parking lot at the fairgrounds called the margaritaville lot or something, but they did tell me no tailgating at the regular parking lot.
i also contacted a marketing supervisor at Clearchannel (they own the place) and he was nice enough to take time out of his day to tell me that there was a meeting on it last monday and i was supposed to keep calling the ampitheatre back for details. he sounded pretty positive about it. "
