I tend to agree with you Dean- persistence and patience will be key on this one. For most past concerts we've done the Sat./10AM drill and been pretty lucky- but by the same token a couple times we've waited til the last minute and gotten great tickets at face- thru BN Ticket Ex. or thru grapevine.

It's also looking like the timing of Phins to the West & the Anaheim date might keep a lot of LA parrotheads away- so maybe.... just maybe, those demonic ticket brokers (in collusion with Ticketmaster) may have overstuffed their greedy guts on this one.

Also seems every year as we (slowly & festively) make our way from the MGM pre-party to the Arena we see lots of tickets on sale at face or below and we think hell why didn't we just wait our the frenzy and buy wholesale. It hard on the nerves-but we might just play that hand this year.

OK....here's the updated list of who's all in for Vegas....let me know if I left anyone off by accident! (You know I wouldn't do it on purpose.....except possibly for Dave!)

Add Homegrown Parrothead to the list - he's my keet and he unwisely left me his CC info for the online purchase. He has no idea the $$ I put on his card

Now what's the scoop on the MGM?? I found a decent rate, but nobody here has said much about it. Is it out-of-the-way? Not in the center of things?

No problem...I'll add Homegrown! Are you asking where the MGM is? Is this your first trip to Vegas? If you're trying to figure out where to stay, I'd suggest the Flamingo over the MGM.....that way you can stumble into Margaritaville anytime and the monorail should make it easy to hit the MGM for the show. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.....I'm more than willing to help out Vegas virgins (and those coming here for the first time as well!)

UH Mal is NOT gioing.
I don't think Coconuts is going either. But we still have almost 3 months to talk her into it.

And don't forget, the date of the show is 6 days before my birthday. We need a big celebration, at my age I don't know how many I have left.
