I'm just the messenger here, and I don't know what to think of this. But, in another thread, a season ticket holder posted that he was assured there would be no JB show at Alpine but that he would be guaranteed a seat to one of the Wrigley shows.
this is spot on to what I was told...just one more 'group' with their hand in the kitty before seats go onsale to everyone else...so if you want a seat for the sunday show at wrigley, buy a 1150 season ticket at Alpine...150 of which will cover your wrigley seat...
It's a crooked game we play, but we all come back year after year.

It's like complaining about three card monte while you play another round.

So at what point do I give up all hope of hope for a Alpine show and cancel the 60+ hotel rooms I have reserved up there throughout the summer just in case?

I have been reading and keeping an eye on the non-event at alpine. It may still happen but why not throw some gas on the fire. The reason that Alpine hasn't been announced is that negotiations are in the works for CAMP RANDALL.....THAT'S RIGHT. IN THE TRADITION OF THE STONES, PINK FLOYD AND U2 CAMP RANDALL WILL ROCK AGAIN.
I had to bring this out as it has been 4 days on the same page.
Do something you enjoy today 'cause you are giving up a day of your life for it!!!!!!!

......this wouldn't be a too-far fetched idea, since they are putting the finishing touches on a two-year renovation.......I saw U2 there when they passed through, and while it wasn't an ideal venue, it still buzzed with a lot of energy. I can't imagine what the Madison police would do with a bunch of Parrotheads trying to tailgate around there! It's a whole different crowd than the Bucky fans on game day.
If the issue is about $$$$, Camp Randall could probably stuff twice as many people in it than Alpine's capacity allows.

I am working on confirming the Camp Randall thing as we speak...
I work for the UW so I'm pretty sure I can get a yes or no answer.

yeah, camp randall will hold almost 80,000 people jsut in the seats...........but it's still not alpine - although it's much closer to my house! I'd still go..............! (like there was doubt)
