I saw Pink Floyd at Camp Randall....good show.
Still prefer Alpine, but I'd do CR.

Sure - that and Miller Park remain on the list of possible alternatives!
As far as I know, all speculation, but anything's possible!

Closer/easier drive...AND I have friends with a guest room in town, so an overnight would be in order...mmmmmm maybe a little change-up in the plan wouldn't be too bad afterall.
I just got the sad confirmation...

I got the number of Alpine's season ticket rep and pretended to be interested in season tickets. He was shockingly quite forthcoming with information.
First, he said straight out, Jimmy WILL NOT be performing at Alpine this summer.
He said Alpine season ticket holders will be guaranteed Wrigley tickets.
He also said there will be 9-10 shows. In addition to the 2 DMB and Ozz Fest shows he gave me some acts that I have not seen mentioned anywhere.
Aerosmith
Coldplay
Trey from Phish
An unnamed country artist
So, it looks like I have burst the bubble!
SORRY!!!
If you want to call yourself, the number is (312) 540-2121
You should pretend you are interested in season tickets and not come straight out and ask about Jimmy.

Bummer but thanks for the info...I can start to plan my summer now...will all of you go to Wrigley now???
My sister just renewed our Badger football tickets so she emailed the contact there back and asked about Buffett at CR..here is the response..
Response: I haven't heard anything about Jimmy Buffett. I spoke with the concert manager, and he too had not heard anything. Sorry.
Thanks and GO BADGERS!
UW Ticket Office(end response)
Guess you can never say never but Im thinking Wrigley is our only local choice...is this on purpose to make everyone go there instead of spreading it out??

I still say a fall tour is in order for the cold weather states. So far he only has 18 concerts in the summer season and Jimmy normally does 25 to 30 per year. That still leaves at least 7 more that need to be scheduled. I think it will be like the fall of 2001 and have about 10 concerts in oct. Nov. in the Frozen Tundra States.
My 2 Cents

Hmmmmm, a fall tour, Miller Park with a retractable dome, could we be on to something. Or is it just wishful thinking?

It's going to need to be late fall with the Brewers going to the playoffs this year!
