iuparrothead..you sound offended...SORRY!!!! none intended....better to have some hope than none at all!!!!! Guess only JIMMY KNOWS and ya know what..I have only met him once and didnt ask him that. so you are right..I dont know.
I will go back and read the past posts that I was referred to...
Geez, so the show was last night...bummer..missed it!

Thanks for the scoop AmyN! I'm gonna stay optimistic and say that Alpine will definitely happen! Whether this year is unconventional or not, I really don't foresee the Wrigley shows are going to cause him to suddenly skip Alpine. He plays 2 shows in Chicago every summer, whether it be Tinley or Wrigley, and always does Alpine also. I think Jimmy has a good relationship with the promoters at Alpine, unlike some other venues, and don't think he will be skipping it this year.

My sister called her source because I explained the skepticism here and she said that her source said he talked to an Alpine Valley person who said it is 90% a go but the other option might be the weekend before the 30th(I dont have a calendar in front of me) of July. Guess we'll just have to wait and pray!!!

It won't be on the weekend before the 30th, Dave Matthews Band is already 100% confirmed to play there that weekend according to the DMB website.

Well the weekend before the 30th, Dave Matthews is playing there so maybe it isn't too reliable if the "other option" they speak of, isn't really an option
