It sounds like buffet will not be in Wisconsin in 2005
we like to go up north with a bunch of people to have a good time
we definitely not going to go to Chicago.
tailgating is not allowed in a baseball park.
So let's not spread rumors and innuendos.

Does anyone else think it's ironic that the longest "Buffett Tailgate" thread is for a show that still hasn't been announced?

Depends on the park...In Milwaukee it's illegal to NOT tailgate at Brewer's games...

Is it possible that dates may be getting set without some at Alpine getting the official word? Just curious...
Hi:
Funny that you ask as when DMB announced the Alpine shows, we didn't know why. The deal hadn't even been signed as of the date it was posted. Same goes for Ozzfest. While the tours post things, until all of the onsale dates and show times, opening acts, and other ticketing logistics are set and the deal is offically signed can we actually post the show. Hence the other two sites reporting the shows, but our site being blank. Seeing as though Buffett is a huge show for us, believe me, it's in our best interest to get the word out as soon as we can.
Regards,
Brian
I guess this means you all have the upper hand now, thanks to the coconut telegraph.

Do people in Wisconsin have a thing against all you can eat dining?

WOOOO HOOOOO!!!! Just another reason Alpine is the best Buffett show!! (except phor Columbus, of course).

Im still sticking to whatever date I guessed before, I think it was July 30. Alpine on the 30th, Indy on the 31st.

It could happen, afterall the Angels won the world series in '02!

We have made up our minds; we are coming to Wisconsin on July 30, concert or no concert. If Jimmy is not there, then how about a wake? I bet you folks throw a great wake.

yeah, they prefer restaurants that serve generous portions, but expect the diners not to be pigs about it.

Dear Jimmy and his peeps:
We hope you are reading this letter. We are just patiently waiting for the alpine date to be announced. We've heard there may be no alpine show, and if that's so, I think we all might just disappear.
(In my opinion as the typist for this letter) Alpine is the best place for a Buffett concert. There just is no other place that emulates (thanks thesarus) Alpine tailgaiting at at Buffett concert. It holds a warm spot in all our hearts!
Please please don't let us down by not having an alpine show this year. Coconut Bra and BeachBum_29 are planning to celebrate their 30th birthdays at the show (we're gaming that it will be July 30th) so help us girls out!!!!
There are thousands of parrotheads awaiting the arrival of alpine 2005..........hope the announcement comes soon!
P.S. We left some junior mints for you and the reefers
Sincerely,
Crazy Fun Cool Parrotheads of BuffettNews

Still no mention of Alpine. Dammit.

That'll be the LAST place you will find the date confirmed, and I'm not kidding! Past years, Ticketmaster put Alpine on their web site just days before the on-sale date.

I too am anxious for Alpine, we've been planning this since last year. Does anyone have any idea how to set your beer on the lawn (slope) and not spill the darn thing. I was thinking about building some coozie with an angled bottom to match the hill.
We've also been fabricating our gas blender. If you have any idea on how to not spill your beer (don't tell me not to get so drunk..that won't happen) and if anyone knows of plans for a gas blender PM me.

If you drink it fast enough, it will be empty by the time you make it back to your seats on the lawn.

I agree...if there is no concert, then we should still do Janesville that weekend...Rob can still hook up the parrothead ball and we can throw Cathy and Amy one hell of a birthday party!!!

OK I have left this alone all day
Pronunciation: "in-y&-'wen-(")dO
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -dos or -does
Etymology: Latin, by nodding, from innuere to nod to, make a sign to, from in- + nuere to nod; akin to Latin nutare to nod -- more at NUMEN
1 a : an oblique allusion : HINT, INSINUATION; especially : a veiled or equivocal reflection on character or reputation b : the use of such allusions <resorting to innuendo>
Where have we spread innuendo???? and how does one do just that ???
Rumors yes.. and you should have seen the Boise thread last year
we are hoping there will be a show.. Wrigley shows (to us)
are of no importance have we heard rumors??
YEP have we spread such??? Yep
I have been with this thread from the start and the only Innuendos
that I have seen are either sexual in nature which are passed back
and forth without malice or harm
or my continuing hope(and mention) of the show being on the last Weekend
of July so I can both attend the show and a ballgame ( the Giants are in town)
point blank: are you asking us to stop this thread????
due to a maybe or not show?
not gonna happen: it seems if there will be no show there will most
likely be a phlocking which you are more than welcome to attend
I can attest to the fact when this pirate crew partys
we try and drink Canada dry
