Early Setlist Analysis (After 4 shows)

by SB Pyrat
I've been watching the setlists. Last night (AZ) was the first time he didn't play at least one different song from the previous shows...I'm still hoping for at least one new song in San Jose, though he's played Holiday at the last two shows (LV, AZ), that's the only one I haven't heard this go round (though I've heard it in concert before). He's played exactly 27 songs at each show.

These are the songs he's played at all 4 shows:
Piece of Work, Coconut Telegraph, Hey Good Lookin', Ragtop Day, Come Monday, Diamond as Big as the Ritz, Woman Going Crazy on Caroline Street, License to Chill, Horizon has been Defeated (Jack Johnson song), Lighthouse (James Taylor song), CILCIA, Cheeseburger, Volcano, Brown Eyed Girl, WDWGDAS, La Vie Dansante, Banana Republics, Southern Cross, One Particular Harbour, Fins, Margaritaville, It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere, A Pyrat Looks at 40

Variable songs (played at more than one venue, but not all):
Stars on the Water (SB,AN,LV)
School Boy Heart (SB,LV,AZ)
Last Mango (SB,LV,AZ)
Scarlet Begonias (SB,LV,AZ)
Holiday (LV,AZ) <-Only one I haven't seen so far
Trip Around the Sun (AN,AZ)

Exclusive songs (only played at one venue):
Everybody's Talking (SB)
Coast of Carolina (SB) <-REALLY glad I got to hear this one!
Son of a Sailor (ANA)
Uncle John's Band (ANA)

It's been fun hearing the new songs for the first time, and a couple oldies I'd never seen in concert (Last Mango & Woman Going Crazy)

Next up, San Jose, it'll be interesting to see what mix he does...Hoping for at least one new one!

Andrew

Just where is this Tiki Bar you speak of? Need to tailgate! Need pre-Buffett booze-up! Thanks...
FFishstick wrote:For those on the Tiki Bar Evite list. We have updated the evite, and the Tiki Bar will be open from Noon to 5pm as we will be heading downtown SJ at 5pm to catch the local pre parties at hotels/bars. We are only 10 minutes from the Shark Tank. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Tiki Bar.

Last Summer a voice called out to me from my backyard and said, "Build it and they will drink" So with my own two hands I demolished my entire backyard and relandscaped everything. $10,000 - $12,000 later, with a lot of blisters and sore muscles, I ended up with a brand new tropical yard complete with a 200sq ft Tiki Bar. Yes, my marriage is still in tact. We are located 10 - 15 minutes north of the Shark Tank. An evite was sent out to all our parrothead friends and BNers. It is not too late, send me your email, and I will send you the evite complete with directions. We are gonna party from 12 - 5 on Saturday, leaving plenty of time to get to downtown SJ in order to lube up at some of the local watering holes.

Have wheels will roll!

Dad picked up a wheelchair for me...so that is one less thing to worry about. I suppose I should think about getting my concert stuff together and packing some stuff since I am leaving here tomorrow morning.

Hiya Andrew! :)

Hi Back at ya Kath! So are we going to use the wheelchair to sneak in cameras and booze :pirate: Actually, I'll be staying fairly sober for this one, as I'll be driving back to Modesto after the concert...two sober concerts in a row, what's the world coming to...that's okay, I was well lubricated at the SB show...I had a pre-arranged ride home that night.

LOL, I had that same thought...are they *really* gonna search me that much? I've taken a camera into every show and they've never found it, they just do a cursory search of purses and I zip it in a pocket and they never even look. Both weekends in Vegas last Oct I walked right by the guy who was supposed to search my purse and he never even stopped me.

Yikes...long drive after the show. :( Is Mom excited? Are you sure she's ready to meet this bunch?

Yeah, we had people sneak cameras in to both of the other concerts no problem...not willing to risk my dig camera though.

Are you kidding, my Mom is one of this bunch. Not BN, but she's been a parrothead since before the term existed...Yes, I am second generation parrothead...WOO!! Yes, she is very excited. I surprised her with the tickets for her birthday last month and she is stoked! She hasn't been to a concert since I took her and my Aunt (also a parrothead) to Irvine in '01. I might have to make Buffett tickets her annual Bday present :pirate:
