I could have had pavillion seats, but too far back -- so got two lawn seats.

Heading down from Vegas that weekend -- should be fun!

Not great I am afraid. But then again, it has been 110 the last two times he's been there. Cricket says it won't open it's gates until about 5:00 -- but we were all lined up at 2:00 and they let us in at 3:00. The TV crews were there wondering why we came "so early" and I had to explain that in the rest of the Buffett Nation -- 3:00 was way, way late.

So maybe with an April date, they will let us come in early since it won't be so darn hot!

I also managed to score a couple of pavilion tickets for the Phoenix Concert. Will be taking my brother who is a Buffett virgin. Seen the man three times in San Diego ( an excellent venue by the way with GREAT tailgating) but this will be my first time for a Phoenix concert looking forward to it.

dang ... i'm used to the tailgates in camden, pittsburgh & alpine

I went to one show in MD @ merriweather and it was horrible .. they were walking around writing citations ... definitely killed the tailgating

people were sneaking drinks in their cars and just kind of loitering

Thanks Lynn for bringing us back to the top. We are staying at a Holiday Inn in Mesa only because I am visiting my mom in an assisted living home close by. Don't know yet how far from the venue it is. We're hoping for more info on tailgating plans as it gets closer. Also still waitng for someone to put tix on exchange board hoping for 4 seats instead of lawn.Cant wait for April! :D

Where to stay

There are a couple of hotels in stumbling distance, I usually go to the Econo Lodge (Toleson), there is usually a good amount of Parrotheads hanging around the pool a few hours before showtime.
