Somone else posted an inquiry about Wisconsin. Although born and raised in WI, my 13 year stay here in MI makes me far more of a Michigander. Few more years and I'll have lived here as long as I did there.

Sound off MI Parrotheads. Where's everyone from?

born and raised in WI for most of my life (trust me, I am NOT bragging!)

My wife and I have family in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Do you consider the U.P. Michigan? It is a whole other world up there, ya-der-hey???

If you want to experience the U.P. check out the movie, "Escanaba In Da Moonlight"! Classic!!!

Well, you pay our MI taxes, but I've always considered everything 'above the bridge' part of WI.

Escanaba in da Moonlight ... HA ... Jeff Daniels, CMU Alumni ..... and I have a few friends that were extras in the movie. Locals from Escanaba area. I play softball in Strongs each summer. What a party that weekend is. Backwoods, beer drinkin' brethren wielding ball bats.

Well, I was born and raised in Westland. Then some 30 years ago I got smart (some may disagree) headed Southeast and never looked back. Now I operate a B&B for my family still up in Livonia, Ypsi, Novi, and Macomb. I'll be there in two weeks for my Dad who is having open heart surgery. Can I get some MICHIGAN PHIN POWER? Hey how the hell cold IS IT up there anyway?

You got all the Phin Power you need my friend. Been there, done that with my father, too many times to remember. He's still kicking. I keep telling him, "Heaven doesn't want ya and hell is afraid you'll take over when you get there, so they're just leaving you here on earth".

Former Michigander here. I grew up in Jackson and went to EMU. Got tired of the COLD and moved to Raleigh, NC. My heart still bleeds for the damn Lions, too!
