Cop on the corner, look he's startin' to write
I don't need no ticket so I screamed out of sight,
Drove so fast that my eyes can't see,
Look in the mirror is he still followin' me?
I know its Bachman Turner Overdrive, think the song is called Roll On Down The Highway or something close to that. If thats right here's one:

Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature

Yes, that is the song...I will take your word that it is BTO...I know it was in the movies Cars

Your song is Everybody Wants to Rule the World~Tears for Fears

She give me her monkey hand
And a Rambler sedan
I'm the king of Milwaukee
Her juju beads are so nice
She kissed my third cousin twice
I'm the king of Pomona
And I've got something to say
"Seek the wisdom of the ages, but look at the world through the eyes of a child."...Ron Wild

We arrived late to the wake
Stole the urn while they looked away
Drove to the beach cuz I knew you'd want it that way
and you were standing on the hood of the car
Singing out loud when the sun came up
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

Better Than Ezra....A Lifetime

As soon as you are able, woman I am willing
To make the break that we are on the brink of
My cup is on the table, my love is spilling
Waiting here for you to take and drink of :pirate:

Roll With the Changes~REO Speedwagon

No more sleepin', wastin' our time
Midnight creepin's first on our minds
No more lazin' 'round the tv
You'll go crazy--come out with me

Billy Squire - Lonely is the night

Take off your hat; kick off your shoes.
I know you ain’t goin’ anywhere.
Run ‘round the town, singin’ your blues.
I know you ain’t goin’ anywhere.
"But there’s this one particular harbor so far but yet so near"

I think several artists have covered this song, so I don't know which version to cite . . .

the song is Wishing Well. I know it by Queen.

If today was not an endless highway
If tonight was not a crooked trail

If you want to see me.....
Well, honey you know that I'm not around....
But if you want to hear me....
Why don't you just turn around...
I'm by the window where the light is..

Excellent one, Connalulu!

She's My Best Friend - Velvet Underground/Lou Reed!!!!

She stands on the banks of the mighty Mississippi
Alone in the pale moonlight
Waitin' for a man, a riverboat gambler
Said that he'd return tonight

Emmylou (sp??) Harris~Evangeline

Stood alone on a mountain top,
Starin' out at the great divide
I could go east, I could go west,
It was all up to me to decide
Just then I saw a young hawk flyin'
And my soul began to rise
"Seek the wisdom of the ages, but look at the world through the eyes of a child."...Ron Wild

Bob Seger - Roll me away....(it took me all day yesterday rereading the words...I knew I knew it)

Take back that sad word good-bye
Bring back the joy to my life
Don't leave me here with these tears
Come and kiss this pain away
"But there’s this one particular harbor so far but yet so near"

Toni Braxton .......Unbreak My Heart
What a Fox she is! :pirate:

I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck

I know no luxury
of knowing what your eyes read
I know one million ways
To pick the wrong things to say
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

Black Crowes - Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye

One thing I have found
There are just two ways to go
It all comes down
to livin fast or dyin slow
Fall semester in a Southern college town has little to do with studying and more to do with football and fraternity rush. I didn't know much about the football team. Hell at that time I was really an Ole Miss fan and to this day I still cant figure out why I didn’t enroll at the U of Mississippi-JB
