If you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
If you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought I'd love anyone so much.

(Easy one for you guys!)

Yep ... one of my favorites, although it makes me pretty weepy now ... (memories of slow dancing). My favorite version is on an older cd called "Trio Two" ... a compilation of great oldtimers from various artists sung by Dolly, Emmylou and Linda.

My turn to post, I guess . . .

Hint . . . 1977.

Miles and miles of empty space in between us
The telephone can't take the place of your smile
But you know I won't be travelin' forever
It's cold out, but hold out, and do I like I do . . .

When I Need You~Leo Sayer

reminds me of making sappy tapes in college

It's all wrong, but it's all right.
The way that you treat me baby.
Once I was strong but I lost the fight.
You won't find a better loser.

Derek and the Dominoes - Bell Bottom Blues

I still see her standing by the water
Standing there lookin' out to sea
And is she waiting there for me
On the beach where we used to run

Galveston... Glen Campbell

Baby, I guess you know my story.
Baby, I guess you've heard my side.
Seems I've traded love for glory,
But I'm still not satisfied.
Livin' all the years,
All the cries and cheers,
Don't amount to much more than pride.
Take my love for you, take tomorrow too,
There's not much left inside

OHH, I just love Jackson Browne . . . Hold Out.

You don't have to be rich to be my girl
You don't have to be cool to rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with
I just want your extra time . . . .

Kiss~Prince...or the Clarks

Count the stars in a summer sky
That fall without a sound
And then pretend that you can't hear
These teardrops comin' down

i think thats poco... crazy love..

Took a look down a westbound road, right away I made my choice
Headed out to my big two-wheeler, I was tired of my own voice
Took a bead on the northern plains and just rolled that power on

Twelve hours out of Mackinaw City stopped in a bar to have a brew
Met me a girl and we had a few drinks and I told her what I'd decided to do
She looked out the window a long long moment then she looked into my eyes
She didn't have to say a thing, I knew what she was thinkin'

Bob Seger~Roll Me Away...my favorite Bob Seger song!

Friday, I'll pick up my baby
We'll go out on the town
Sunday, drive in the country
No one else around

Hear the foreman
Get it movin' get the lead out
Monday mornin'--head hurts
Wish he wouldn't shout

I'm jumping in here since I know CM will take forever....here's an easy one...

Sail on home to Jesus won't you good girls and boys
I'm all in pieces, you can have your own choice
But I can hear a heavenly band full of angels
And they're coming to set me free
I don't know nothing 'bout the why or when
But I can tell that it's bound to be

James Taylor - Country Road

I'll respond with easy this early Monday morning!

God only knows
God makes his plan
The information's unavailable
To the mortal man
We work our jobs
Collect our pay
Believe we're gliding down the highway
When in fact we're . . .

Slip sliding away - Paul Simon

After 2000 came 2000 and one
To be the new champions, we were there for to run
From springtime in Arizona, 'til the fall in Monterey
And the raceways were the battlefields and we fought 'em all the way

wanderlust SPEEDWAY AT NAZARET ...

[/b]I ain't never been with a woman long enough,
for my boots to get old.
We've been together so long now
they both need re-soled.
If I ever settle down
you'd be my kind
but it's a good time for me
to head on down the line.

Heard It In A Love Song - Marshall Tucker Band

Oh, the memories!!

I live in a house that looks out over the ocean
And there's some stars that fell from the sky
Livin' up on the hill

Actually, Speedway at Nazareth is by Mark Knopfler from the album Sailing to Philadelphia, which also contains the song Wonderlust. How odd.
