I love the Macallan, too.
The Scots laugh aloud at how much North America and the rest of the world is willing to pay for some of the single malts. Of course, import taxes and what not do add up. A fine Islay malt that is not too expensive if Isle of Dura . . .
But whisky/whiskey are different things, as you other lovers of uisge beatha know!

Midleton is very good...but a little steep in price for my consumption level..PalmettoSon wrote:If it's gonna be Irish (whiskey) it should be Midleton (although I don't turn my nose up to Jameson or Tyrconnell). If it's Scotch (whisky) I say the Macallan. I know some may see this as blasphemy, but my theory is drink less, and you can afford to drink better.

NO bet I have seen people put single malt into coke, or worse Ginger-ale.weirdo0521 wrote:I bet some of the people don't even realize there is a diffferencetikitatas wrote:I love the Macallan, too.
