Kenny Chesney Thanks JB for Inspiration

A radio station in Sacramento had a live interview with Kenny Chesney this morning where Kenny describes some of the inspiration for his new album Be As You Are. Kenny mentions his love to cruise on his boat when he gets off the road. Also, his several trips to the Caribbean have influenced the content/story lines in this album's songs.

Kenny went on to say many artists have influenced him and specifically mentioned Jimmy as one who has taught him to "paint a picture with words".

You know, I saw a thread on here a week or so ago talking about Kenny Chesney and his new CD. I was very skeptical and I wasn't sure I even wanted to hear him, though I did like his song how forever feels (he mentions Jimmy) I'm not even a real country fan other than George Strait and of course Jimmy, that is how he started out you know. Well my brother also a huge Jimmy fan and a country fan convinced me that it was worth a listen. I like it, If this were a record I would have worn it out already. Though it is kind of starnge to hear someone else singing words that sort of soud like Jimmy should be singing them. Don't get me wrong he's no Jimmy not even close. Give it a shot you just might like it.

Man some of you people need a License to Chill..pardon the pun.

If some of you would just s*** it up and give the cd a chance you just might like some of the MUSIC. Is it because of your dislike of Kenny's music before he made the island cd? so now he is not allowed to do so? So much for the Parrothead attitude. If your gonna ride his @ss so hard why not ride the others so don't stop there go and p*** on Jim Morris, Sunny Jim, Eric Stone etc...
If you so high on Bob Marley's music then start paying attention to the lyrics and stop spreading so much negativity around.

Why do you people that don't like KC come into the KC discussion board?? Is it just to voice your opinion or to start sh*t?? You know I've seen some of you complain about the hijacking of threads and the strife that has gone on in other threads yet you come over here to a board that Jim obviously created because he wanted to and wanted the parrothead KC fans to be able to discuss his music - if you got a problem with it email Jim. But by your constant bringing negativity over here you're no better than the others that you b*tch about. We all know you that don't like KC.

Correction: Jimmy didn't make it in Nashville, decided to pretty much chuck it all, and wound up on a boat in Key West.
Jimmy is the truest definition of island music, or as I heard someone once describe it: Country Calypso

As for KC, don't listen to much of him, no real opinion.... sure he's a decent human bean
