Wrigley or Indy?
Alright, I'm looking for some opinions here. I'll either be going to the Wrigley or Indy show this summer. I'm kind of leery about the Wrigley show. What are some of the pros and cons of each place?

Wrigley tailgating will be a b****, if at all. However Indy has a terrible tailgating scene and the venue sucks, its to big, sound is horrible, and the people outside of the BN'ers s***. The show I went to last year was a disaster, some of out my groups own doing, but I'll never go back. Im going to the Wrigley show since my friend has a apartment to tailgate at about three blocks from wrigley. The crowd at wrigley I would think will be better, always a fun baseball crowd anyway.

Go to Wrigley! This way you would get a chance to see a real baseball park! Anything has to be better than B To The E stadium that the Cardinals play in!
j/k, Wrigley is the Mecca of Baseball! So what if the tailgating sucks. I can get drunk anywhere. I'll hide behind a dumpster to drink if I have to, so I really don't care if I have a parking lot to stand in!

Now back to our reguarly scheduled topic, I think it would be cool to see Buffett at Wrigley, I would really miss out on the tailgate though.

I know the Cubs haven't been to World Series in a couple of years but I think the remark about winning a championship is moot after being swept in the World Series.Ilph wrote:captainjoe wrote:Go to Wrigley! Yeah, you've got a "classic" stadium where s*** falls from the rafters, how about getting a team that can win a championship?

I think Wrigley would be a lot of fun. If you can't get tickets, you could hang out on Waveland or Sheffield Ave and listen to him and not pay a dime!
All kidding aside, the Cardinals s***!

We try; we have to have some way to amuse ourselves. Shipping Sosa off to Baltimore would be a start.
Anyway, my plan is to do both (following a trip to Vegas in April). MSU#1 was a bit on the negative side (pretty much about everything); half of it is making your own fun.
I think Wrigley will be great because Buffett really wants to play there and even without the standard big parking lot tailgate the neighborhood will be a lot of fun. My guess is tickets will be more expensive at Wrigley. The ballpark is really easy to get to with public transport.
Indy is a place Buffett seems to enjoy playing (rumor has two shows again this year). Traffic around the venue (especially after the show) is the worst part. The tailgating rules are no glass or grills, but we had a great time last year. Our seats were "honorary lawn" (last row of the pavilion) which was great for getting in and out and hanging out with friends who had lawn seats. Sound was fine.
You'll have a great time whichever you choose.

You guess? Face it.. every season ticket holder will probably get an email/mail from scalp, er brokers offering to buy up their ticket to the Buffett show and then turn around and hose the heck out of the PHN...
If I can get the time off for Alpine this year, sure. Indy: maybe. Chicago, at Wrigley? Nah. Been there for two games and watched the Cubs beat the Braves like stepkids, and send the Giants home without an HR for Barry "Steroids" Bonds. It would be a zoo, and I have no urge to be used like the new guy in a Turkish prison.

I'm not sure I follow here, why would season ticket holders will have first shot at Buffett tickets??Face it.. every season ticket holder will probably get an email/mail from scalpers, brokers offering to buy up their ticket to the Buffett show and then turn around and hose the heck out of the PHN...
I'd be surprised if they did it this way...unless Buffett will be the Cubs' playoff game (

Most stadiums, arenas, parks, domes, etc. do this.ragtopW wrote:that's one of the perks of being a Season ticket holder.. you get a shotQuiet and Shy wrote:I'm not sure I follow here, why would season ticket holders will have first shot at Buffett tickets??Face it.. every season ticket holder will probably get an email/mail from scalpers, brokers offering to buy up their ticket to the Buffett show and then turn around and hose the heck out of the PHN...
