How many Buffett albums do you own?

Post by Ilph »

Just curious, how many of us own ALL Jimmy's albums? Not counting the recent onslaught of live shows and bootlegs, how many JB albums do you own? I have 20 and need to go out and buy some more.

8 CDs that belong to me and 6 albums that belong to my dad.... not to shabby for a youngin'!

The only one of the "Live In.." series that I own is Live In Cinncinati. As far as bootlegs are concerned I only have a few of those. Unfortunately all of them were recorded off of Radio Margaritaville and therefore sound like sh*t. Given the demand for live Buffett shows you'd think there'd be some soundboard and/or audience tapes floating around out there but so far I haven't heard any.

Vinyl
Before the Salt
White Sportcoat
3/4 Time
A1A
Havana Daydreamin'
Rancho Deluxe
Changes in Latitudes
Son of Son of A Sailor

Somewhere Over China
Floridays
Last Mango In Paris

45s
"I Don't Know (Spicoli's Theme)"
Freddy and the Fishsticks-"Elvis Imitators"

CD
Before The Beach
Off To See The Lizard
Feeding Frenzy
Beaches, Ballads, Boats, Bars
Barometer Soup
Fruitcakes
Don't Stop The Carnival
Calaloo (single)
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Banana Wind
Rancho Deluxe (MGM)
Beach House On The Moon
Far Side of the World
Live In Cinncinati

All you have to do is hang out in a Chuck E Cheese parking lot, look for a vehicle with some parrothead markings, wait until they park at Chuck E Cheese, then break in and steal all of their CD's. :P

I am also a yougin'. When I graduated high school 2 years ago my parents said I had to put pretty much all of the money I got towards college stuff. They allowed me to make one big purchase. I took $150 bucks to Newbury Comics and bought every Buffett CD they had. Not counting bootlegs I have 22 and counting now.

I try my best to rotate them on a weekly basis in and out of the CD player so I get a nice variety. But recently FSOTW, TT&S and A1A have been dominating my airwaves :pirate:

How many Buffett Albums do you own?

Post by lilcherub »

My first was MMIM, second was BBBB, third was LTC and then A1A. Love all of them, MMIM was my favorite for a long time, just because it was my first. A1A is the best I have so far. Question - On the covers of MMIM and LTC why did they brush out the mole on his chin? Is this something he is sensitive about or his people around him? Has anybody else noticed this? Why would they do that?
