We all know that Jimmy tends to forget/change his lyrics alot during live shows...I pulled out "Meet Me In Margaritaville" today for the first time in about a year and he really fumbles his way thru the beginning of the live version of "Pascagoula Run", it almost sounded painful..anyway it gave me a chuckle, and reminded me of the fun at the live shows; which are always great memories, I was just suprised he used that particular version.

I was there in Columbia at that concert when it was recorded. That's me in the background yelling.

He also messes up the lyrics to "Knees of my Heart" on the "Mini Matinee" DVD!

He also flubbed on "Piece of Work" during the Coastal Confessions thaingy in New Orleans.

It's kind of endearing, I think. He has a HUGE catalogue of music...it's gotta be hard to remember them all, no matter how many times he's played them.

It just shows he's human...at least he's still playing.

Makes me feel good when I'm singing along and I screw up the words and my daughter looks at me....I just tell her "If jimmy can't remember 'em.... whatta want from me".
Oh so many things I can’t remember
And way too many things I can’t forget
What time does church begin? Tell the priest I’m checking in
I want to cleanse my soul so I can do it again and again and again and again

The funniest one of all is the 2002 Tampa show right before Here comes the Sun. Evidently, he had messed up the set list, and HCTS wasn't on it. When he announced he was gonna play it, it set off some confusion among the Coral Reefers. About five minutes passed as everyone got in position for the song.

Listening on RM, I heard JB say, "Don't read the ---- setlist!" He got on the microphone and said, "Whoever wrote this set list ought to be fired! Oh, wait! That's me!"
