Excellent! The definitive Jimmy Buffet album. Not a clunker on this. The perfect balance and blend of melodies. If you don't have this in your collection, you are no Buffett fan.

Written almost entirely on Jimmy's boat, there is an incredible amount of atmosphere on this one. The title track is a great intro to a great album. "Fool Button", though a bit bizarre, is a kickin' rocker of a song. "The Last Line" and "African Friend" are good songs for when you're in a slower mood, but they don't quite compare to "Coast of Marseilles", which will bring memories come flooding back about the "one that got away". If you're looking for another song to make you think of Tully Mars, then it's "Cowboy in the Jungle". How many times I've been doing something i absolutely hate and then this song comes on the player or just comes to mind and then suddenly things aren't as bad as they could be. Are you looking for another anthem? "Livingston Saturday Night" is it. It isn't as "dirty" as the original, but boy does it rock and roll. "Manana"; an appropriate song for those days when you're stuck on the interstate going 15 mph in a blizzard after work.
There is one song that Jimmy admits he gets tired of performing..."Cheeseburger in Paradise" is that song. I can't blame him. Some printed sources say it's a tribute to his dog, Cheeseburger. That may be true, but it doesn't make me like the song any better. Yes, i do sing along to this song at the concerts, so i guess i'm a bit of a hypocrite in that respect, but deep down i have to admit that it's one song that could be replaced by something else in the live rotation.

score: 4 & 3/4 coronas out of 5

This album's filled with classic music!!!

If I was stranded on a desert island with only one Buffett CD, this would have to be it!

It's nice to see every song (except one) with the songwriter simply listed as "Jimmy Buffett" (not a bunch of other people). This is the real stuff!

Thanks Jimmy!

Found this CD in a used bin and got it for 6 bucks! Well worth the money, my favorite album besides You Had to be There! Favorites are Son of a son, Livingston saturday night, Chesseburger in paradise, Manana! :D
