One of the greatest shots in b-ball history

Post by CaribbnSoul »

Hey guys, check out Sportcenter's Top 10 plays this morning (2/1) A Guilford College guy hit the greatest shot in history last night. ESPN thought it was so good, they gave him the 9, 7,5,3, and number 1 spot!! What a great way to get 15 mins of fame!! If I can find a link somewhere, i'll come back and post it.

They show the Top 10 feature about 12 mins before the end of the show.

They showed it on Chicago local news last night-a great shot, but haven't there been others like it? seems to me that every year i see two or three of them on the sports highlights.

A 90 footer from under the other basket.....UNBELIEVEABLE!

Great shot.
Question: "And now Kenny Chesney has recorded a beach album." Jimmy's Answer: "It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it."

They have a video of it on wtae.com; I can't post the link to the video, but it's near the bottom of this page:

Saw it! Was just telling a co-worker about it. 8)

There was another one last week, maybe two weeks ago. A high school kid was inbounding from the far baseline. He looked like a guard...smallish. The opposing team put a center to guard the inbounds pass. The center blocks it, but the ball stays inbounds...the guard steps under the arms of the center...grabs the loose ball and heaves it...between 85-90 feet...makes it!! Awesome shot. 8)

Great shot.
Tate Geoge of UCONN against Clemson.1.8 seconds left down by 1,having to go fullcourt. The sad thing is Duke beat them the same way with Christian Laettner the following regional game.

FYI - Guilford College won the NAIA basketball National Championship back in the seventies. They were led by Lloyd Free, who later had his name changed to World B. Free, and was a legendary gun in the NBA
