Old Blue Chair & Chesney's boat

Post by andrewsjerrypat »

Anyone know what island in the Caribbean where Kenny's "old blue chair" is located.
Also the name of his boat?
Thanks

The chair is on St John. "And I've watched boats sail, in and out of Cinnamon Bay."

Well, not to stir things up about the various sides that form when you talk about JB and KC, but to me they both know where to go, DOWN THERE!
Also, while I am a relative new PH, 2 1/2 years old or there abouts, I still like my JB CD's, but I have added KC 's new one to my collection and I just really like the songs a good mix to reflect on.
But you just know that JB and KC just know where to go, JB for his fishing and KC for what he sings about in his new CD. Like them both. :P

The video shows footage from all over the Virgin Islands. "One Love" is a bar on Jost Van Dkye in the British Virgin Islands. There is also a shot of him sitting in the chair on a jump off platform which is on the boat Willie T II which is located in the "Bight" of Norman Island of the BVI's.

Been there done that! 8)

I just hope he doesn't try and move Foxy's too.

I couldn't believe he singled out Foxy's directly in Somewhere in the Sun. There's not enough room at Foxy's for all the new "fans" who are going to show up now. Great Harbour isn't big enough for more boats than are already there during the tourist season. I'm glad I made it there a decade ago. I don't know how much it has changed, but when I went their motto was "No shoes, no shirt, no problem" (sound familiar?) and it was exactly the kind of bar I pictured on a beach in the BVI. Some of my fondest memories of that trip are of Jost Van Dyke.

It was a well known slogan of Foxy's for the past decade. I didn't see a single other bar in the Caribbean that used that slogan while I was there. It's quite obvious where he got the reference.

it originated from no shoes no shirt no service.
It's been at the Outback Crab Shack in St. Augustine for years and countless other places.
I'd heard of it well before Kenny's song.
Maybe Jimmy stole it from Foxy's too when he used it in Margaritville Tequila ads?

It was being used by Foxy's a decade, and longer, ago, and I'm well aware of where it "originated" from.

Over a decade ago it was used by one of the best whitewater outfitters in the world. I wonder if they know he stole from them???
