Hey!
I have heard people reference that they have recieved an autograph, met Jimmy, etc. at a meet and greet. He probably does not, but does Jimmy do this before every concert? Or are they just promotions put on by local radio stations?

Thanx! :D

The only time I've ever "met" Jimmy was after a CIP opening when he was on his way to the car. Some people have met him at M'vill locations.

I think the majority of "Jimmy meetings" are just happenstance. In other words they were just in the right place at the right time. I get the distinct feeling that Jimmy's "people" are really tight-lipped about when and where he shows up. Obviously to avoid the inevitable huge crowd. If he were ever to schedule a "meet and greet", he'd be meeting and greeting steady for a few months. (Hell, I'd be there!) :D

I swear the corporate mantra is "you all know before we do." That was the response I got from all the people I have met. That was also the response Mac gave my friend when they flew back to Nashville.

I was just watching the extra footage on Tuesday, Thursday's & Saturday's and Savannah said that he takes the last half hour to do a meet and greet before the show with fans and old friends in whichever city he is in.

That would probably be for corporate sponsors etc. Normal backstage passes dont have a meet and greet time.

Jimmy does do Meet & Greets as I was involved with one last summer. It depends on the tour however. Because RCA/Nashville had such a large promotional campaign for LTC, Jimmy was doing them in each city during the tour. Like most artists, some of his tours will have M&G's and some will not.

Hope that helps!

When I met him at CIP in Indy (not the private show day), the radio station hinted at it, but we have all been lied to before so nobody got too excited. I was getting ready to leave when I saw a small limo pull up to the hotel next to CIP. I walked calmly (sprinted :D ) over there and sure enough a large bodyguard came out followed by Jimmy. None of the restaurant staff knew until about 10 minutes before he showed up. So I do believe it is Happenstance and luck.
