Five of us will be in Vegas with our Clemens shirts while he pitches Saturday night!!! Hope Jimmy announces our score!
Will we be Twinkie Dates?
Hey Nancy!
I was afraid to even open this thread
You better know I stayed away on purpose!!!! Got my rally cap on. In fact I got it the last time I was in VEGAS for someone else and still have it.
Do you get the Houston TV stations???
They are going nuts in Houston!!!!
Nope...our wonderful cable company chose to NOT put Houston news on tonight. We usually get Channel 11. I'm watching on Fox tho. Bring on that champagne.
Too bad they weren't home for the win.
btw---I have one of the Astros rainbow warm up jackets...think I should be wearing it---in 90 degree temps

Darn Straight
Even my 84 year old grandfather who was once a sox fan-many many many moons ago--way before the 59 series---probably became a cubs fan in the 30s----can not even root for the sox.
He went to a cubs game one day as a kid with a buddy, and became a fan ever since.

Will you be rooting for the Astros because you don't want to potentially hear the WSox fans rub it in?

Hell I have to listen to it for 10 hours a day at work
We have one guy who is a true sox fan
The other is a bandwagon jumper.

Yep, and the fact that no good Cubs fan could cheer for the Sox (unless, the opponent was the Cards).

Understood, and I would never ask anyone to give up what they believe is important. Let's just hope it is not a spectacle of the umpires and the players are allowed to determine the outcome. Go Sox go!

Yeah, the umpires have been especially bad this year!

Yep... the tag out at 2nd base on the Cards? He soooo did NOT tag him. Should have gone to the 1st base ump for a confirmation.
I heard on the local sports radio here, I think it was Kornheiser, who tried to get the person who he was interviewing to compare the Cardinals to the recent Braves for doing good in the regular season and not able to win the big one. The interviewer laughed. This was a couple of days ago.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
