Amateurs.

Don't fret, you have Devil's night is coming up in Detroit on Sunday. Also, who knows what could happen after the Grant Park celebration on Monday, especially with it being Halloween.

Sorry, Rodney. Ann's post was meant to contradict Tom's, so when I corrected her, your post was inconsequential.

That was good.
I would have added something where they are talking with a teams pitching coach, or manager like this:
Buck: We spoke with Astros manager Phil Garner during the break.
[interview]
Buck: Phil you've got to be pleased with how Oswalt is pitching. From what we can tell, he's getting in the high 90's on his fastball, and his curveball has been spectacular.
McCarver: You know back in my day, Sandy Koufax had a spectacular curveball too.
(Jermaine Dye gets a base hit)
Buck: Thank you Timmy.
Garner: Yeah, he's come up big for us tonight hopefully we hold this one run lead or can get a few more runs for him. I've been really impressed by what he's done. He's been truly outstanding for us this postseason.
INTERRUPTION:
Buck: There's a deep drive to left and it is.......gone! Paul Konerko puts the White Sox on top with a two run homerun.
McCarver: Hanging curveball Joe, first one of the night.
Buck: Yes it was, Timmy.
McCarver: You know Sandy Koufax never threw hanging breaking balls back in my day.
Buck: I'm sure he didn't. Lou, what do you think on it.
Pet Rock: ...............
Congrats White Sox. That was one hell of a season. For once, I think the best team in baseball really did win it all.

Roger, dodger, codger.
I'll never refer to you as Tim McCarver again.

BTW-
WHY are the White Sox FANS being congratulated? THEY didn't win the world series-their
TEAM did.
So, as I said in one of my earlier posts, Congratulations to the
WHITE SOX PLAYERS & COACHES!
however, all their fans here may have a drink of their choice & send me the bill.
NOW let's see how many "bandwagoners" there are

Right you are.
And the last team before
that was the 1984 Detroit Tigers.
ESPN says otherwise:
The White Sox became just the third team in history to sweep a World Series after a season in which they were in first place every day of the season. Those other two teams were the 1990 Reds and the fabled '27 Yankees.
ESPN IS WHERE I SAW THE LIST OF 4-5 TEAMS!!!

I'm still not sure if it really happened. But I can confirm the White Sox won the World Series tomorrow as the victory parade cruise right by my building. GO WHITE SOX!

And Mark Garland, Jon Buerhle, and Jose "El Duque" Contreras make a great staff. And Bobby Marte, Damaso Hermanson, Dustin Jenks make a great pen.
Hope you don't mind me getting something good!
J/K, but I was considering doing it for about 6 weeks to get back at the Mets fans that jumped on the Red Sox bandwagon just to p*ss off Yankee fans.
