Hey guys, I'm hoping to draw upon the knowledge of my phellow parrotheads.

I have a desktop pc in my office at home that has the standard computer speakers. In my living room I have a new surround sound system that really kicks a$$. Is there technology out there where I can have wireless sound from my computer to the stereo receiver in the other room? Listening to the MP3's that way would be great, but the main reason I want it is for Internet radio. Thanks so much for your help.

Oh, I know this one, but I can't think of it right now. There is some wireless receiver. If you are more skilled at searching BN than I am, you can look for it. Good Luck!

you will need to set up a wireless network- a wirless router from a major manufacturer( I use Linksys). Make sure you use the encryption. This router connects to your ISP's internet modem. Then, you can purchase a wireless media center that connects via wire to your stereo system and wirelessly to your network. You can then play all music, photos, movies on your PC over your stereo. You can also set it up to surf the net over your TV and stream music(RM) over your stereo. Do some research about wirless networks and which manufacturer has the best media center. You don't necessarily have to stick with the same manufacturer for all components, but it makes configurations a little easier. I have one wired computer, 2 laptops connected wirelessly, and an Xbox connected wirelessly. All can be used at the same time, and not much reduction in speed quality. Not difficult to set up once you get the hang of it. Hope that helps.
