Then it's our money and compassion I guess?....where did I hear that our population is something like 6% of the worlds, yet we contribute some 40% of all foreign aid? My #'s may be a tad off, (but not by much)...THAT'S what makes America great...and when the money is rejected to try to make things better.....Amen to nycparrotthead...

I think there are many, many things that your country does and stands for that make it the great nation that it is. Using big weapons is not one of my reasons for thinking that.

To a great extent I agree with you, however, considering the most recent developments and issues with N. Korea and Iran that are in the headlines...I feel a bit more comfortable going to bed knowing that we have the technology and firepower to defend, well, basically, the world. If we didn't have BIG weapons???????????? You might be wearing a burqa..

Don't get me wrong, I don't like war or bloodshed...but you have to defend and prevent...and I think that's what the US is doing...
