Tin Can Sound Quality from Radio Margaritaville
Has anyone else noticed lately (within the last six to nine months) that the sound quality from RM has gone downhill in a way that I get this strange "tin can" sound, as in, seemingly overactive treble? It is not really noticeable on average, or even above average, computer speakers but when I play the recorded disc from total recorder in a discman or my home stereo you can hear the distortion. The only way it goes away is by turning the treble WAY down, and it seems to by accentuated by Jimmy's vocals. I playback through windows media player 10 right now but I have tried the real player stream as well and seem to have the same trouble. The shows, especially the replays, used to be nice and clear (or atleast as clear as you can get at this bit rate) but now they are almost annoying with this defect. Any suggestions anyone? I think I can actually pin point the beginning of the problem to early in the summer tour 2004. Thanks
