How do you catch a polar bear?

Well, first you cut a hole in the ice. (Stop reading here if you've heard it before.)

Then you scatter some peas around the hole.

When the polar bear comes out to take a pea,

What do you do?

You kick him in the ice hole.

Get it?

They way I heard that joke about 35 years ago was to burn some wood in the hole then kick him in the ash hole

That's funny... 'cause I just heard the polar bear joke for the first time in 40 years from my brother who unbelievably is recycling the same jokes all these years.

Another thread nearby reminded me of my brothers.... I have five of them, so unfortunately I am pretty immune to offense!
